'It's like they never miss a pass': The Swans' Galbraith continues battle with Pep's side.

Ethan Galbraith can't help but smile as he reminisces about the thrilling final moments of his team's remarkable turnaround triumph against Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup. The game ended with Galbraith picking up a supporter's spectacles amid the post-goal scrum.

During the final moments of stoppage time, Galbraith cracked the upright with a powerful strike from 25 yards, and his teammate immediately converted the deflection before racing off toward the crowd to mark the goal, with supporters congregating around the players.

Stunning Reversal

This sealed an incredible turnaround given the team had found themselves down 2-0 midway through the latter period. In the euphoria, there was some minor mishaps. He shared, "There was a fan trying to get our attention and myself and Keysy [Josh Key] were puzzled: 'What's he on about here?' Then we saw the glasses. It was a funny incident putting them on. We are on the pitch as athletes but we're people, too, so to have a joke with the fans is always good."

Premier League Giants

That win booked a next round game at home against Pep Guardiola's side on Wednesday, opponents Galbraith ran close at the comparable phase of the FA Cup with the London side in February. He had an excellent perspective when his former team took the lead in remarkable manner, with the attacker's volley from about way out going in via the crossbar and the opposition keeper. It seems unfair that it was deemed an own goal.

"You would have wished they would've awarded it to him for attempting the shot from that distance," stated Galbraith, who started in midfield before switching to right flank after Orient changed formation. That meant facing off against City's winger, with whom he exchanged jerseys, and the winger was among the City players who paid tribute to the way Orient approached the match.

City's Quality

"Physically they are very good but even the basics and basic skills, they can just execute repeatedly," the midfielder notes. "It seems as if they never miss a pass and they are adept at control and slow down a game. You can feel you're all right and then without warning they will just deliver a through ball through a line without you even seeing. You have to be alert every second of the game. It takes a resilient mindset and focus just to stay in the game."

New Chapter

The club were keen on Galbraith in January and fought off rivals to bring him in in the summer in a seven-figure transfer. He became a favorite as a popular figure across a couple of years at Leyton Orient and has rapidly achieved similar status in his new home. At his previous team he joined forces once more with his former manager, who four years ago gave Galbraith his debut prolonged spell in senior football on loan at his loan club from United. Then came a temporary move at lower division Salford, before he permanently left his boyhood club.

Development Path

"I was perhaps a slightly green going into men's football. I think a lot of players would say youth team games is very different. Sometimes it feels like possession is exchanged without much intensity. There's not many hard challenges. Once you start playing men's games you have to adjust fast."

Country Call-ups

He has shown that maturation for both domestically and internationally, performing well for Northern Ireland, who are fighting to qualify for the global tournament next summer via the playoffs and for whom he has featured in the last several matches, including home and away encounters against a football powerhouse. His former international manager, Galbraith's ex- international manager, offered the highest praise, saying he was Northern Ireland's "midfield general" given how he controls possession and his knack for a game-changing assist.

Starting Out

It has been quite the ride for the player from the Queens Park estate in his hometown, just outside Belfast, who grew up watching his father, his father, also a engine room operator, play for his father's team.

Manchester United Experience

The player's single match for United came in the away trip in 2019, a Europa League trip to the Kazakh capital, where they featured on an artificial pitch and the venue ceiling was shut owing to temperatures of bitter cold. "That proved to be a lengthy journey and it was cold out there," he says, grinning. "The week before, several youth players and I trained together, so that helped us acclimatise. Just to join the main group and make an appearance at the end was unbelievable."

Departing Old Trafford

How hard was it to move on from Old Trafford, the club he joined from Linfield aged 16? "This turned out relatively straightforward, because I got to the stage where I understood I wouldn't break through at the top level. I'm extremely thankful for the experience gained but it reached a stage where I thought I required a fresh start, move to a lower level and play men's football. Now I'm steadily progressing again."

Welsh Adaptation

It is the early part of the afternoon at the club's training ground but Galbraith has an appointment at late afternoon: a learner's exam, another step towards getting on the road. Until recently to Sketty, the mid-twenties player was a regular in Swansea's nicknamed fun bus, a team vehicle driven by team personnel, the drivers, which shuttles players to and from training and matches.

"It's myself a teammate, another squad member, the midfielder – a former passenger used to be in it but has begun using his own car. It's enjoyable to interact with the teammates but I'm aiming to be the following person to drive independently and behind the wheel. His teammate enjoys practical jokes; he's frequently playing tricks."

Fan Interactions

During his time at his former club, Galbraith would mix with fans on public transport after beginning his trip at the area he lived in. "I tried|I attempted|My aim
